Leadership Passion Results
Exercising leadership feels different than our romantic notions of leadership. These notions are reinforced by scores of artists, writers and moviemakers who depict the noble leader as one with unyielding strength, a conqueror, and a hero. Leaders are described as decisive, powerful, and are rewarded handsomely.

Those who exercise leadership know that in reality, leadership is a dance with danger. You put your life, your career, and often your family at risk when you exercise leadership. You jeopardize everything. To be effective in exercising leadership, you challenge the status quo. You disrupt people’s loyalties, and comfort. Leadership efforts are often met with resistance, undermining behaviors, and personal attacks. It is often easier to resist putting yourself in conflict by taking the easy road, one with no disruptions, play it safe. There is no safe way to be an effective leader. Leadership is inherently risky. There are methods leaders use to survive and continue to thrive as a leader, take risks, inspire others to achieve extraordinary results. This seminar is designed to help leaders learn to more effectively exercise the art of leadership.

More specifically, this leadership seminar will give you the tools to:

1. Identify the sources and forms of danger in leadership.
2. Clarify the difference between authority and leadership, and technical and adaptive challenges.
3. Provide diagnostic, strategic and tactical responses to leadership dangers.
4. Offer strategies for staying healthy, in your exercise of leadership, in body, mind, and spirit.

The seminar is intended for individuals and teams who exercise leadership and are open to learning from their own experience and the experience of other leaders. Participants must be willing to open themselves up to individual scrutiny and the scrutiny of their peers. The design of the seminar is to empower the participants to utilize a diagnostic framework to analyze leadership challenges in themselves and others, and to apply the techniques in their existing leadership challenges. The goal is to create leaders who are better equipped to stay healthy as they exercise leadership.
